There is something truly magical about the bond between a horse and its rider. It's a connection that transcends words, a partnership built on trust, respect, and a shared love for the open trail. At Horsemanship Journal, we understand the power of this bond, and we have made it our mission to celebrate and nurture it in every way possible.

Horsemanship Journal Team

Founded by Tally in 2009 and now owned and run by Theresa and Kate, two lifelong horse enthusiasts, Horsemanship Journal is more than just an independent magazine. It is a labour of love, a community of individuals who share a deep passion for horses and a commitment to promoting compassionate equine connections.

What began as a supplement to Western Horse UK has grown into its own fully-fledged publication, still printed back to back with its sister magazine, but with a unique identity and purpose.

As owners and editors, Theresa and Kate have poured their hearts and souls into creating a journal that resonates with horse lovers like you. They understand the joy and profound connection of building a partnership with these magnificent creatures, and their experiences with horses have shaped their journey. Through Horsemanship Journal, they aim to share that journey with you, inviting you to join them in exploring the depths of our connection with these remarkable beings.

Behind the scenes, a small, dedicated team works tirelessly to bring you each issue of Horsemanship Journal. From Molly, who takes care of customer services with a friendly smile, to the talented graphic design team who ensures that every page is visually captivating, this close-knit team is driven by a shared love for horses and a desire to make a difference in the equine world.

At the heart of Horsemanship Journal is a belief in the power of collective wisdom and the strength of shared experiences. We provide a platform for our readers to share their stories, ideas, and expertise, creating a community of horse lovers who come together to support and inspire one another. We strive to create a warm and welcoming environment where you feel at home, and our articles go beyond the surface, delving into the heart of horsemanship and exploring the depths of our connection with these extraordinary animals.

We believe in challenging the status quo and inviting you to join us in shaping a better future for horses through mindful and compassionate practices. Through education, inspiration, and a commitment to promoting compassionate equine connections, we aim to create a positive impact in the lives of horses and their human partners.
